in this collection, i explore two distinct themes: the commodification of the female body and my reconnection with mexican heritage through traditional leatherwork. one piece features an embroidered jumpsuit and working shirt recognizing the challenges a on-line model must face by monetizing her body online. like in the military these are “achievement badges”, each embroidered patch symbolizes the endurance required to navigate unsolicited “dick pics”, negative comments, and the pressures placed on her by a male-dominated gaze.

the second piece is a handcrafted leather belt, created using 'talabartería,' a traditional leatherworking technique. the belt features mexican icons and a custom 3d-printed mold for the buckle, representing my huichol and purépecha roots. these works reflect both personal identity and technical skill in embroidery and leatherwork.
